President Joe Biden signed the Respect for Marriage Act in December 2022, which nullified the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act. This event was not only devasting to the institution of marriage, but also signaled a defining moment for the future of pastoral ministry to married couples in our churches.

For couples in ministry, this means that now our marriages are an apologetic for the biblical ideal of marriage.

In this conference I consider why we reached this turning point, what it means in ministry, and what we need to consider to effectively minster to married couples in this post-truth culture.

In the conference, attendees will:
• Understand the shifts in our culture, as well as why and how the post-truth culture impacts marriages in our churches;
• Consider key components for marriage ministries in our churches in a post-truth culture;
• And apply specific principles for our own marriages as we serve together in ministry.

For church Pastors, Deacons, and Elders. For optimized training, include ministry spouses.
